FreePPP is the outgrowth of the MacPPP 2.1.2SD update to Merit's original dialer package, and has been adopted in large part by Apple (a modified version is bundled with the Apple Internet Connection Kit). Until Apple brings its own PPP dialer out as part of Open Transport 1.5, this is the way to go.
